Rocking the bridal suit – A timeless and chic Perth city elopement

Rocking the bridal suit – A timeless and chic Perth city elopement

Your day, your way

I wanted to create this shoot as a reminder that your wedding day can be whatever you want it to be. From the outfit you decide to wear, the people you decide to have as your guests or not, the registry office or extravagant venue you decide to get married at, and everything else in between.

Who said you had to wear a dress on your wedding day?

As soon as I laid eyes on this Karen Willis Holmes bridal suit for the first time more than a year ago, I knew I had to create a shoot around this very outfit.

An outfit for the practical, chic and timeless bride that feels both bold and feminine, the bridal suit ticks all the boxes. A bridal suit is also the perfect outfit for a timeless and chic city elopement allowing you to move freely. It’s also a great option for winter and autumn weddings as it will keep you warm if you opt to elope during the colder months. The bridal suit adds to the non-traditional aspect of elopements. Yet, it can also be dressed up and made more wedding-like with a veil and a bouquet of flowers.

From bridal suit to feathery mini

Many of us express our personality through clothes and fashion, so wearing something a little different to what most people do can be an amazing way to inject more of who we are into our special day. There are no rules when it comes to wedding outfits. They now come in many forms, shapes, and even colors.

I personally love the idea of a white suit as it embodies the peak of elegance, and will age so well. I believe in slow fashion and always try to think of the cost per wear every time I buy a new garment. So I love the idea of wearing a wedding suit past your wedding day. You could even wear both items separately.

On that note, the beautiful Charlie jacket from KWH can also be worn on any of their gowns. It look particularly amazing paired with the sexy and feathery number that is the Sherry Gown. Just another example of a fun, modern yet simple non-traditional wedding outfit that is particularly fitted for receptions or dinner parties.

Thank you to all the amazing participating vendors!
