Nature

As the years go by, I've come to realize that I can't live far from nature - whether it's the ocean, the mountain or the forest, it is vital to me. It keeps me sane, grounded, and it is a huge source of inspiration.
I never knew I needed the ocean so much until I lived so close to it. Out of all the places on Earth, I feel so lucky to have ended up here. It makes me so happy, and it fills me with pride to think that I came all the way to this country and made a life for myself all on my own (but with the invaluable support of my partner, and of my family back home).

The ocean

Animals

I am a mad animal lover, especially when it comes to dogs (yep, I am that person who says hello and smiles at your dog when I walk past, but won’t even acknowledge you). I used to dream of the day I could have my own, and now that I do (his name's Merlin in case you were wondering - I know you were), I reckon it is probably the single best thing about being a responsible adult.
