Lia and Brendan’s backyard wedding is the result of the perfect modern-day love story.

It all started with an Instagram follow and a slight misunderstanding, but that didn’t stop them from hitting things off straight away and quickly deciding to meet in real life. The rest is history, as two months later they were moving in together, and almost three years later, on Saturday 12 February, they were tying the knot in the backyard of the house Lia grew up in.

After hearing countless stories from their nearest and dearest and hanging out with them for the best part of the day (up until the reception started I was probably the person who had spent the most time with them), it became very clear that these do are definitely the best version of themselves when together. Being a shoulder to cry on for the other when times are tough, a celebration buddy when one of them kicks a goal, and overall a duo who seems to have nailed the communication part of their relationship.

Their day was filled with nothing but love and joy (and a few party animals).
