Gillian and Trung’s micro wedding was definitely a day to remember! The pair were set to get married back home in Queensland. However, like many other couples throughout 2020 and 2021, the universe had other plans in store for them.
In August 2021, they came to the realization that their initial plans weren’t going to go ahead. They got in touch with me with just over 6 weeks’ notice and managed to snatch my last available Saturday of September.
Their number one priority was to tie the knot, so they made the decision to swap their big Queensland guestlist, for a handful of their Perth friends. They said their ‘I do’s’ in an intimate church ceremony, before heading back to their Shenton Park home. Here, they shared a few drinks and nibbles with their friends. We even got to take some cute family portraits with their two fur babies.
We then headed to the city center for some overcast and slightly rainy portraits, before ending up at City Beach where we were graced with the most beautiful winter sunset. Gillian was a trooper walking on top of sand dunes in her stunning Eva Lendel gown. She was struggling to get back to the car park when we realized that her gown had been catching and trapping sand. We spent a solid ten minutes trying to free her from the extra weight before heading back to their place.
Gill and Trung ended their beautiful day with a long-table dinner at one of my fav places in town, Petition Kitchen. They invited me to sit at the table with them and I truly felt like I was part of their quirky group of mates.
